Gulfstream and the Middle East Region

Gulfstream has had a presence in the Middle East for more than 40 years. There are more than 110 Gulfstream aircraft based in the Middle East and in North Africa. Gulfstream’s largest fleet in this region is in Saudi Arabia, where there are more than 40 aircraft. About half of the Middle East and North Africa fleet are GIV series jets, but there is a variety. There are also mid-cabin aircraft in the region, more than 20 of the GV series and more than 10 of the company’s biggest and fastest aircraft, the G650.

The Middle East will be home to many more Gulfstream aircraft in the coming years. In May 2015, Gulfstream announced that Doha-based Qatar Executive agreed to purchase up to 30 aircraft as part of a Memorandum of Understanding originally announced in October 2014.

Gulfstream’s Product Support

Buyers worldwide have access to the largest company-owned product support organization in business aviation, with more than 4,000 aviation professionals worldwide. Playing an important role for customers in the Middle East and North Africa is the Gulfstream Luton service center near London. Facility technicians are authorized to work on Gulfstream aircraft registered in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait.

Also key for customers in the Middle East and North Africa is one of Gulfstream’s factory-authorized service centers, Jet Aviation Dubai. The maintenance team in place at Dubai International Airport can work on all Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft, along with the G150 and G200.

Other regional resources for buyers in the Middle East and North Africa are approximately $17 million in Gulfstream parts and materials housed at Dubai International Airport. Gulfstream also has two field service representatives based in Dubai and one in Africa.

Gulfstream and MEBAA

Gulfstream is a proud board member of MEBAA and supports the organization’s efforts to grow and strengthen business aviation in the MENA region.

MEBAA Morocco

Gulfstream will attend MEBAA Show Morocco in September 2015 and is excited to speak with current and potential customers about the capabilities of its aircraft, including the G280, which is scheduled to be on display. The G280 is a leader in the super mid-size category and has the best range, speed, fuel efficiency and cabin comfort. It has more than 50 city-pairs and is capable of connecting Dubai to Nigeria at the cruise speed of Mach 0.80.
